Rachel has received a PhD in Microbiology
from the University of Warwick, where she studied the genetics of
the food borne pathogen Listeria monocytogenes. Prior to that she
completed a BSc in Medical Microbiology at the University of Surrey,
and graduated with a University prize. She also spent a year researching
antibiotic production in the Department of Culture Improvement at
Pfizer Ltd. in Kent.
Rachel joined Alpha-Plus as Editorial Assistant in October 2004,
completed a fast-track training programme to become a Medical Writer
by April 2005, and was promoted to Senior Medical Writer by October
2006. With her strong scientific background and enthusiasm for
the job, Rachel has proved herself to be a great addition to
the Alpha-Plus
team.
