Matthew is a Medical Communications Consultant and the senior member of our writing team at Alpha-Plus. A well-published scientist from his research days, Matt brings a deep scientific knowledge to a number of our accounts, borne from 12 years of experience in medical communications and having worked in a diverse range of complex medical fields. Our clients place a very high value on the breadth of his medical understanding, his keen eye for product positioning and his authoritative writing style.

Matthew has experience across the full range of published, congress-related and other medical communications activities, from congress booth video animations, websites, posters and printed giveaway materials, right through to electronic or document-based communication plans and NICE submission dossiers. He has worked on many peer-reviewed manuscripts, editorials and reviews, and has produced a variety of meeting proceedings supplements and book chapters.

Most recently, Matt has worked extensively in cardiovascular therapeutics (pulmonary arterial hypertension, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension), a number of metabolic disorders (lysosomal storage diseases), surgery (orthopaedic, vascular, cardiothoracic, gastrointestinal and reconstructive) and multiple sclerosis. He also has in-depth disease background and therapeutics knowledge from work in CNS medicine (Alzheimer’s disease, insomnia, schizophrenia, depression), ophthalmology, renal medicine, diabetes, and cardiac and muscle metabolism.
